    Whodunit?
Karl Arnold, a family therapist. He had been divorced for 5 years and had a daughter and a son. He took the divorce hard so he targeted families that were going away on vacation so he could live the "perfect family" life and then he killed the children and the wives and made the husbands watch to remind them they are not strong enough. He took their wedding bands as "trophies". In the end, Hotch found a box with the rings and they discovered 8 wedding bands, but only 3 families had been found dead.

This is one of my favorite episodes. In fact, I did an alternate ending on it called The Engraving. But I digress. I think the best scene in this episode is at the end where the team is seated at the table and Gideon empties the contents of a box Hotch found in Karl Arnold's office, dropping 8 wedding rings on the table when the team only knew about 2 of the families. Nobody spoke but their facial expressions at seeing 5 extra wedding rings made this scene extremely powerful and no dialogue was necessary.
