Synopsis:
The BAU is called to investigate the murder of two small-town high school students who may have been victims of a cult killing. Based on the crime scene evidence, the team begins to believe it is possible that someone other than a cult member may be responsible.

Set in:
McAllister, VA (Fictional, DC Metro Area)
Best Moments Between Characters:
  • Morgan and Reid talk about their nightmares. Reid is having nightmares and confides in Morgan. Later after Hotch mentions the nightmares to Reid, he gets upset and confronts Morgan. Morgan then confides he had them as well and Gideon helped him get through them.
  • The final scene when Gideon helps Reid with his nightmares and gives Reid a picture of a family that he saved in the 80's, it ends when Reid closes his eyes like he could finally sleep.

Best Lines:
  • (Reid is pouring piles of sugar into his coffee)
    Morgan: "Easy there tough guy. Have some coffee with your sugar."
    Reid: "I need something to wake me up."
    Morgan: "Ooh, late night?"
    Reid: "Very."
    Morgan: "My man!"
    Reid: "Not that kind of late night."
  • Reid: "Melted wax?"
    JJ: "Candle wax?"
    Reid: "Candles are used in rituals."
    Gideon: "They're also used on birthday cakes."
    Reid: "Actually, they were originally used to protect the birthday celebrant from demons for the coming year. As a matter of fact, down to the fourth century, Christianity rejected the birthday celebration as a pagan ritual."
    Sheriff Bridges: "What kind of a doctor are you?"
  • Searching for the missing girl, Cherish:
    Henry Dent (Local helping search): "My name is Henry"
    Elle: "My name is Elle."
    Henry: Like the letter?"
    Elle: "All my life."
    Henry: "That's funny."

The turning point in the investigation:
When Gideon meets with one of the cheerleaders who lets him know about the body; it was of a hiker who fell and died. She tells him the satanic materials were not there before.

Whodunit?
Corey, the sheriff's son. He did it to get to Adam, one of the football team members because he wanted his girlfriend. The only problem was when he showed up to kill him, the girlfriend was with him so he killed both of them. He knew what the team was looking for in terms of profiling but Morgan was on to him and called him out.
