This is probably nothing but the title of this episode is part of the finale of Phantom of the Opera, the Andrew Llyod Webber musical. "This face which earned a mother's fear and loathing. A mask, my first unfeeling scrap of clothing." It's probably nothing but it is a strange coincidence.
