Synopsis:
The BAU team must track down a serial arsonist who instills fear in a small town by setting fires to community places, killing several residents in the process.

Best Moments Between Characters:

  • The final scene when Hotch showed up in Garcia's office. She told him how she felt about getting into the mind's of people and it affected her ability to see the good in people. Hotch thanked her and told her that her contributions/work were key to the success of the team. He told her he knew she always saw the good in people and he'd never want to change that.



Best Lines:

    • Morgan: Hey, how's Miss Smart and Sexy doing today?
    • Garcia: Fair warning, Cupcake. As much as I love you and our witty banter, I'm all out of witty and banter, and I'm struggling with love.





    The turning point in the investigation:
    When the team recognized that the UnSub had to case the bar to figure out how to commit the crime, but that he seemingly knew exactly where to pour the gasoline in the other incidents.



    Whodunit?
    Tommy Wheeler - He and his sister Tina lost their parents to a fire when they were children. Tommy was more traumatized than Tina, and grew up very disturbed, with Tina as his only support. When a rumor spread that Tommy was attracted to his sister he was beaten very badly by some older men, nearly killing him. The townspeople had become upset that Tommy and Tina had gone to a school dance together. He was sent to a boarding school, cutting off all ties to his sister. He spent three years in juvenile detention, and received many negative psych evaluations. Released at age 16, Tommy disappeared until age 21 in Franklin, Indiana. He then started several nuisance fires, ultimately leading up to his current arson spree.
