• When the Unsub took the spleen/liver Reid realized that the killer had trouble letting go of the bodies which seemed to indicate that the Unsub had abandonment issues.

• They discover that the killer is a teenager and make the connection of Josh's leaving Alaska to Owen, a friend from his childhood.

• Owen Porter, 'abandoned' by his best friend Josh when Josh left him with his abusive father and a mother afraid to speak out. Josh had helped him through it, but he left Anchorage and Owen never heard from him again. Owen went on a killing spree hurting everyone that was leaving as he associated them with Josh leaving him.
  

• Hotch dealing with Owen's abusive father.

• The finale scene between Garcia and Morgan. She questions her ability to continue to do the job. He tells he will protect her ability to see beauty in everything as long as he lives. He also told her he'd always be there for her and he "kinda" loved her (in a brotherly way) and she told him the same.

• The showdown between the BAU and the people of the town as they try to prevent the Unsub from being gunned down by the angry mob.

• The ladies of of the BAU having a girls night! We hear a mention of Kevin, Will, Henry and Mick Rawson.
  

• Brenda (to herself): Is anyone there? Yeah Brenda because the homicidal maniac hiding in the shadows is really going to answer you.'

• Morgan (to the team): I am not sleeping with Reid!

• Garcia (to Josh): My name is Penelope Garcia and I'm the one who doesn't carry a weapon, except my biting wit.

• Kevin (to Garcia): Jealous? Why? Because you are bedding down with a muscled modern day version of 007?

• Rossi (to the team in a disgusted voice): I see you people way too much.

• Rossi (to Josh): Would you say you take pleasure in the kill.

Josh: Doesn't everyone?
Rossi: Actually, no they don't.

• JJ (to Garcia): Tell me all those are not for my son.

Garcia(holding an armload of shopping bags): Nope
JJ: Good
Garcia(pointing to smallest one): This one is for Kevin.

• Morgan: (to Rossi) Working on wife number four?

• According to Reid when a serial killer is under pressure they will try to finish what they started and will go after the true target of their cause
• This is probably the first time we have seen Hotch in the field in something other than a suit and tie
• Mick Rawson is mentioned as a possible love interest for Prentiss
