I have many feelings about this episode.
I liked it because it is an unusual cliffhanger, I mean nobody from the team is really in danger (not that it would have bored me but I do think it's good to do something different sometimes).
I liked the character of Det. Spicer (and I did like Eric Close as Martin Fitzgerald in "Without A Trace" as well), his involvement in the case and his connection with the Unsub.
I liked Morgan's relationship with Spicer.
as for the Unsub I found him very very creepy! IMO he's the creepiest one so far, together with Foyet (well, Foyet is the actual #1 for me)! so I can't say that I liked him... he is so ugly (kudos to make up!) and cruel... poor kids... I don't know what's gonna happen to the poor Ellie, but I do know it will be a personal involvement / obsession for Morgan.
I did like the ending scenes even if IMO they were a little bit too dramatic... and Spicer's death was really cruel! I think he's dead indeed, I haven't thought about other possibilities even though if he wasn't dead there would be some good ideas about how to end the episode...

so to sum up a good season finale! I'm curious to see what happens next... I guess some Morgan bravery! ;)

"Are you serious?? Do you even remember "The Big Game"? Reid got ambushed, kidnapped and tortured! Gideon went crazy- twice after cases didn't go right. Hotch got ambushed in his own home, as did Elle. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have waited for backup, but then again, Hotch didn't wait when Jack & Haley were in danger, and can you really expect a father not to fight for his daughter. Morgan wouldn't be much of a man or an agent if he didn't back up the person that was his partner at the time. Mistakes happen, and it makes him human. Personally, I think this episode humanized Morgan, proving that just because he's normally the one breaking down doors and tackling UNSUBS that he can still be hurt."

couldnt agree more. that last episode wasnt as Morgancendtric as I was hoping, but it really did show the real him
