Episode trivia

  • Trilimide, the seasickness drug used by the unsub to control his victims, is fictional, though its description is analogous to a real drug, Scopolamine. The writers changed the name as a safety precaution for fear of giving real-life offenders ideas. However it should be noted that the real-life Scopolamine's effects are mostly urban legends that were propagated by chain letters and e-mail hoaxs. It is not capable of mind-control-like effects over a victim, and it cannot be absorbed in sufficient amounts by merely touching it or having it thrown in one’s face. It must be swallowed or injected in large amounts.
