Food for thought... Could they have an episode with the guy that Reid saved back in season 1, the one with the prostitutes with their hair cut off. It would make for a good storyline like, was he able to get over his psycho impulses of killing "dirty women" or did he turn out to be one kind of serial killer who'd be a threat to the BAU since he already knows its members and has studied how they work? On the same note, would Reid be able to live with himself if the guy starts killing since he was the one who saved him from committing suicide in the first place. Wouldn't that be a nice and rather challenging story to make?

| Criminal Minds Spoiler: | There’s much more to the story about Dr. Reid’s headaches…except you won’t find out until next season, according to EP Erica Messer. “That’s something that we’re talking to Matthew [Gray Gubler] about and the writers are all trying to figure out what stories we’ve dropped. Honestly, that storyline, that whole idea behind that, started before we lost A.J. [Cook] and Paget [Brewster]. There was a chance that we were fearing to lose Matthew just because of contract negotiations, and that storyline kind of got implanted and then never truly paid off in this season, but we want to sort of conclude that next season. That’s the plan.” Thank goodness the Gubler told me he’s all set for next season and exited about it. Can you imagine a Gube-less CM? Hells to the no! This team is magic! |

| Criminal Minds Spoiler: | Criminal Minds producer Erica Messer has confirmed that the show will explain Dr. Reid's headaches. The character (played by Matthew Gray Gubler) has suffered from unexplained migranes throughout the show's sixth season, but Messer told Entertainment Weekly that Reid's illness will be explored properly in a potentital seventh season. "Honestly, that storyline, that whole idea behind that started before we lost A.J. [Cook] and Paget [Brewster]," she explained. "There was [also] a chance that we were fearing to lose Matthew just because of contract negotiaions." She continued: "That storyline kind of got implanted and then never truly paid off in this season, but we want to sort of conclude next season. That's the plan." Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson previously insisted that the show's future is secure, claiming that many viewers are still "connected" to the crime drama. | Criminal Minds Spoiler: | The only thing that is worse than finding out you're fired is to find it out from reading it online. We know that Paget Brewster was returning to Criminal Minds and that Rachel Nichols was departing. But, nobody at CBS/ABC thought it was wise to tell Rachel Nichols about it. She found it out the same way the rest of us did-by reading about it online. Showrunner Erica Messer said that it was a hard decision, but never bothered to tell Nichols of the impending doom. That is nothing short of classless. The worst thing is that it looks like the character of Special Agent Ashley Seaver will just fade away with no logical explanation. There is so much left dangling with her character and there is no word if the writers have any plans on dealing with it. Even if Nichols was to return as a guest star in order to wrap up her storyline, the chances of that happening are very slim. This was only encouraged by the backstab she received about being cut from the show. Judging from some of the comments the Criminal Minds posts have received, many fans weren't happy with where things went with Brewster's character. And when CBS/ABC tried to fix it, Rachel Nichols only ends up being a band-aid, only to be taken off and thrown away when it is no longer useful. |

He'll play a senator who is having a previous case investigated due o the BAU team making a mistake. When the show reruns, it will be four months since the season finale and the team will be under scrutiny because of the screw up with the case. The episode will do flashbacks of the case. They will also bring back Emily who will be revealed to have faked her death. This revelation won't sit well with some of the team, especially Reid, who is said to feel betrayed. |

But while on set of Criminal Minds (aside from getting to talk to the entire amazing cast), I got to sit down with executive producer and showrunner Erica Messer and ask about the huge reactions we’ll see from the team as a result of the return of presumed-dead Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster). “Because I’ve been with these guys from day one, we have a really good working relationship of the characters we’ve all created, so we had conversations,” she tells me. “I scripted it that everyone was going to have a huge reaction to her returning, but I’m not about to say, ‘Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) does this,’ ‘Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) does that.’ I only gave them words. Garcia says, ‘She’s alive.’ And Reid says, ‘But we buried her,’ because Garcia is very emotional and Reid is very logical.” Messer said Morgan (Shemar Moore) will also struggle with the fact that he believes Hotch (Thomas Gibson) betrayed the team by telling them she was dead. And subsequently, Hotch “had to keep this secret from the team while they were pouring their hearts out. He’s burdened with that,” she says. “It’s a complicated tale. "Hatosy... plays Jimmy Hill, a backroom boxer who despite his so-so skills keeps fighting to raise money for his dying son."
