Plot Connection: At the beginning of the series, Haley was the wife of Unit Chief Supervisory Special Agent Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner. Their son Jack was born during Season 1. At the beginning of Season 3, Hotch was on a two-week suspension and Haley gave him an ultimatum, as she wanted him to return to a desk job and have a "nine to five life" so he would have more time for her and Jack. However, Hotch stayed with the BAU. Haley left Hotch and took Jack with her; Hotch mentioned to Morgan that he was not sure if she was coming back. Soon thereafter (still in Season 3), Haley filed for divorce. When Hotch was stabbed by The Reaper (end of Season 4/beginning of Season 5), he sent Haley and Jack into the witness protection program for fear he might come after them. When The Reaper found them, he killed Haley (in Hotch's and Haley's old house) and left her body in the bedroom to be found by Hotch.
