Really like Meredith Monroe as an actress and use to watch her on Dawson Creek, which she was really sweet in. She was hardly ever in Criminal Minds so didn’t get to know her character that well. May sound a little crazy but I always thinks she a lucky charm for the actor she it cast opposite and every time she is linked to someone they tend to be a popular character. Pacey was popular on Dawson Creek after she hooked up with him and Hotch was popular when Haley was his wife. After her and Pacey spilt up and he hooked up with Joey the rating started falling and Pacey was less popular because people don’t like to see someone back stab their best friend, and it seems after Haley death in season five again Hotch character is becoming less favourable. From reading a few of the post on this website I’m getting the feeling that people find Hotch story a bit patronising because he gone from being in a relationship were he was struggling to cope to maintain a family and a career and now the writers are making out that he coping just fine. Which can be seen to a bit rude if the writers are making out that wives cause the problems in their husband lives.
