Anyone going to see Alvin & The Chipmunks?

Just curious as MGG lends his voice to the character of Simon. I promised my teenager I'd take him and he's even more excited to see it now that he knows "Reid" is the voice of Simon!

I don't go to the movies much because I have three kids and it's such a hassle, but it's definitely one I'll buy on DVD when it comes out. ( Although if we do get a chance to go to the movies during their Christmas break, it would be the one we'd see). I loved the Chipmunks when I was little, so it's a bonus that MGG is Simon!

I want to see the Chipmonk movie also. It should be really good. Does anybody know what his part is the Tom Hanks' movie "The Great Buck Howard" ? I saw on his page here that he is in this movie.

When I told my friend I wanted him to come with me, he gave me a sort of blank stare, until I told him MGG was in it. Then he said he wanted to go.I was talking with my mom, and told her I wanted to go see it. She laughed and said "You never watched that when you were little. You didn't like the voices of the chipmunks. Why do you want to see it?" I told her "Never knew that. But the guy who plays the Reid on Criminal Minds is voicing Simon." "Who's Reid?" They need to play up Reid (Matthew) being in these movies. He will bring in a whold different set of people to sse these shows. I didn't have any plans to go to see The Great Buck Howard, but I will now.

It looks like his movie career is getting more active; I guess no time like the present huh? He's got loads of time on his hands. He's slated for 3 movies and I noticed Kirsten V. is signed up to star in an indepedent film as well. :)

I am very excited about his movies. He seems so nice. It just couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I just love this website. I would not have known anything about his movies with it.

Defininitly going as soon as possible.... my son (17yrs old) showed me a clip on you tube..... it is so different .... looks and sounds like it is going to be a really good move.

I agree; my 14 year old is excited to see it and the previews look pretty funny! After just shoveling 9 inches of snow in 9 hours, I'm ready for fun! :)

#1hotchfan, I don't know how you deal with 9" of snow. I live in the south and we haven't had that much in the last 9 years total. When it snow here, the city pretty much shuts down because we know it will only be a day or two and I am talking 1 or 2". We alsways get a layer of ice and them just a bit of snow.Sit back and put a DVD of CM on and relax - you deserve it. I am exceited about the Chipmunks too. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

We've been lucky we've had mild winters the last few years but I think we're getting payback for them this year! We are due for something this weekend as well; on weather station says another 1-2 FEET of snow and another says a wintry mix but it'll be an ice storm. *sigh* I'm still sore from last night's shoveling....

I love snow sometimes, but other times it can be a right pain.Last year we had this tremendous snowfall, shut down the schools for about two or three days depending on where the school was. My backyard was beautiful though, I love living in the woods when it snows. It sticks to the trees and covers everything, makes it look like a Hallmark Card. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I just saw the film today. It was cute, and Matthew did a great job as my favourite chipmunk (I gave a little cheer when his name popped up in the opening credits). I was also amused that Jane Lynch (who played Reid's mom on Criminal Minds) had a small part in the movie. I have to admit that this thread was part of the reason I gave the film a chance in the first place, and I'm glad I did. I'm happy that MGG's career is doing well. Hopefully there'll be many more opportunities for him in the future.

He said he was so busy right now he barely had time to talk to family and play with his dog. I certainly believe it. I took my neice opening nite. It was so good.
