Sadly I will be gone at the time of the ep, but bless who ever invented DVR :D I like watching the recorded eps tho because I'm not very patient with commercials when it comes to Criminal Minds :D Anyways, i've been waiting for this, since last wednesday there was no new ep :( Looks like a good one, not too much info in the promo to give it away......just the way i like it :) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. I actually didn't like the episode. It was pretty good, but certainly not the Team's best work. I don't know if i like the turn the show has been taking lately. More special effects, crazy plot lines, and less profiling. That and Reid needs to get a haircut before i track him down and shave his head. (Okay kidding, but he does need one)
I'm just grumpy because I hate when that happens to shows, but I didn't like it. It was sad to see how much he really cared for the kid and his family and how his aliases ended up getting him in the end, but over all as an episode it wasn't very good.
Hoping next week will get better.

Well i dont think any script could have really topped 'Risky Business' or 'Uncanny Valley' but i think the lack of focus made the episode feel unfinished somehow.

For instance in the conference room, it appeared that in the first five minutes the show's director wanted you to focus on the guy from the Fraud squad because they zeroed on his nail picking and Emily staring at him. So naturally i was watching the agent (?) thinking he was part of the overall con man's plot and then at the ending blah ...a big fat nothing. What was the point of having him tagging along with the team then? He didn't have any direct tie in with any of the victims or the unsub and neither did he show any particular on screen charisma (of course, I admit that this is hard to do when you are standing next to an alpha female like Emily) The whole ending left me scratching my head.

But of course being Criminal minds there were really good bits including a return to the Morgan/Garcia phone flirt (something that i have missed). In addition there was some good tension when the Unsub was dragging the boy along with him as William/hunter/Bob tried to contain the deterioating situation. The scene where he clobbered the woman in the trunk while his son watched a video in the front seat zoomed to the top of my 'What creeped me out list'

I agree. This was not really high up on my list of favorite CM episodes either. To me, I couldn't put my finger on it, but I just felt like it was just missing something, and I was't impressed with the lack of focus throughout the episode too.

My heart nearly stopped though near the end when the unsub put his hands on his son's head, because for a brief moment I thought he was going to kill the child. Don't ask me why that thought crossed my mind, it just did, but then I had to make myself think that although CM likes to rase the bar on creepy but I doubt that they woud never actually show something that horrible. Take the episodes To Hell And Back for instance, those episodes were so disturbing that I nearly stopped watching CM altogether

you were not the only one, I had the distinct impression that he was going to snap the child's neck rather than let the boy be taken from him.

But even though it wasn't a tight script or particularly well directed, it was still an interesting concept that a person could fracture his mind in such a manner.

I agree with most of the things said here. I just didn't feel this was the team's best work, but I did enjoy a few parts of the show. The anxiety of the fraud investigator was compelling. Reid was entertaining as always, especially when they were going through the research files, he just goes right through them. The purple made me happy, since it is my favorite color. I just hope that next week's episode lives up to the team's usual standards. Do you find this valuable?

I thought the unsub's character was great, although the ending was a bit of an anti-climax, I thought he'd hold the kid hostage with a gun rather than do suicide by cop.

However, being English, I was literally crying with laughter when he was walking along trying to get his alias correct and muttering "I'm Randy, Randy..." Sorry to anyone here with that name, btw...

What about the part where he walked in on his wife and 'girlfriend' sitting on the couch. I was both amused and scared at the same time. Talk about your young and the restless moment right there :D :D Do you find this valuable?
