Should Agent Jordan Todd be JJ's permanent replacement?
Jul 2 2010, 3:53 PM EDT | Post edited: Jul 2 2010, 3:53 PM EDT
They're going to have to replace JJ, sadly :( and though I am extremely depressed about this, I can't help but think of who will be replacing her. I am against new characters (it takes so long to get to know them, and for their characters to develop) but I really didn't like Agent Jordan Todd either. She just didn't fit in... So discuss, who you think should be replacing JJ, your opinionon new characters and Jordan Todd. Do you find this valuable?

Personally, I HATED Agent Todd. She just didn't mesh well with the team. I want JJ, BUT if I can't have her, then I want someone new. I think I'd like someone that is younger...maybe not as experienced as the other members of the team, so that her reactions to the cases will be different from theirs. I also think it would be nice if she had some kind of trauma in the past that we find out about quickly. It would help us to understand and care for the new character more quickly. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Awww. Thanks, Mara. I've thought I'd make a good writer myself. But seriously, how does one go about getting a job like that anyway?!

You see, I disagree on one thing. I don't think the girl should be young, and I know this is my Reid-fangirl-ness speaking, but I don't want anyone younger and less experienced than Reid, because he's the BAU's baby :] and the character you described sounds like a female Reid, and let's face it, there can only be one. Not trying to offend you, just politely disagreeing.

Should Jordan Todd replace JJ? No one can ever replace JJ. No one could replace Gideon, or even Elle. But they tried. I think that if they want the show to stay good, they need to introduce someone who brings something completely new to the show. I mean we've got the strong, smart leader, seasoned veteran, know it all genius, computer whiz, and muscle. JJ and Prentiss eventually leaving will create a void. Who or what they'll get to fill the void, only time will tell. I just hope they leave Prentiss' and JJ's story open ended, so they could make a return. That'd be great. On a side note, I bet Strauss has something to do with it... the b!tch. lol. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I hope the make a good choise because JJ will be hard to replace. Also, she should be a GIRL, young (but older than Reid) and someone that already knows someone from the team (so they can trust her from the begining) 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Let's face it, Strauss is the reason ANYTHING BAD HAS EVER HAPPENED. EVER.

I personally like Emily much more than Elle, but it's true, Elle cannot be replaced. They should just stop trying.

In 100, Strauss surprised me with the way she handled Hotch. I think she almost cried in the end of the show. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I would rather have JJ stay on the show, but how about one of us be JJ's permanent replacement? 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I heard they were going to cast a chick who is a comedian. My dad said he thought she was funny and he might watch CM with me if she was on it. But my sources might not be right <:( 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

No...I didn't feel one way or the other about Todd..whomever "replaces "JJ is going to have HUGE SHOES to fill. Cook was PERFECT in her role Idon't think we need a comedian on the show....think Garcia kind of fills that bill... I DO HOPE they leave JJ's exit open.....so there's a possibility of her returning....the same for Emily !!!!! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

A couple of things:
1. I think the comedian you are referring to is Janeane Garafalo who has been signed for the CM SPIN OFF. I have not seen anyone write anything nice about her in all posts I have read - in fact, I have only seen some really awful comments about her. As I will not be watching CM2, I really don't care.
2. I did not like the Jordan Todd character at all. I was not sure if it was Meta Golding or the writers but she really did not fit in - the character was too weak. No way Todd could replace JJ - she didn't then and she can't now. I feel they shouldn't even try to but if they do, it had better be someone really different.

Let the cast pick someone themselves... it's an ensemble and they have to work with the chosen one!

I think it would be cool if when they brought in the new person to fill in for JJ they should make that person actually be a serial killer and have the team tracking them while shes helping them and trying not to get caught. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

That seems like an awesome idea. They should totally do that.
