Season 5 DVD BoxSet!
Sep 7 2010, 2:15 AM EDT
Ijust got the Season 5 DVD Set (Region 1) @ midnight. Thank God Wal-Mart's open 24/7!!! The Set is AMAZING! The cover-art is in the tradition of the others, but has it's own look. The slip-sleeves themselves have the same tradition of 4 stills per sleeve. The 5.1 Dolby Digital is great to hear the show in & the pic is great, as they all are. The bonous features are in good quantity, following closley in the Season 4 Set w/ Featurettes on specific episodes. My fave is "Darkness", w/ interviews w/ Eric Close & Tim Curry! It's a 6-Disc, 23 episode Set & was well worth the horribly looong wait!

1. RE: Season 5 DVD BoxSet!
Sep 10 2010, 6:25 AM EDT
I wanted to follow-up b/c @ the time of my original post, I had just bpught the Season 5 DVD BoXset @ Wal-Mart's midnight sale. I commented on the cover/slip-sleeve art & the bonus features that I knew of from reading the boX. However, now that I've had 3 & 1/2 days to enjoy the Set, I want to elaborate on what fans who buy the Region 1 Set can eXpect. This is, in my humble opinion, the best "...Minds" Season DVD BoXset to date! As aforementioned, the Dolby Digital 5.1 is fantastic, & for those w/out 5.1 systems, there is the Dolby 2.0 surround option (as w/ the previous Sets). The picture is perfect, I viewed the show (in it's 1st run airings) @ home w/ my digital cable & @ friends homes w/ satalite & VeriZon FIOS but the DVD picture is just as clear, if not moreso! 6 episodes have their own behind-the-scenes featurettes, inc. "Haunted" w/ Sean Patrick Flannery, "The Performer" w/ Gavin Rossdale from 'Bush', & "The Fight" w/ Forest Whitaker & the neXt "C.M." series BAU Team! Also, there's a special featurette on our favorite nemisis George Foyet/The Reaper-tracing the character history from Season 4's "Omnivore" to "100"! Along w/ the other 3 episode specific featurettes, there's 5 more documentaries, which gives a nice quantity of bonus materials to the Set, but quantity aside, the QUALITY of the X-tras is top-notch all the way & by far the best bonus features of the 5 "C.M." DVD BoXsets to date. Being that this is a 6-disc set, it dosen't take up much space in my DVD library shelves, which is nice. It's the eXact same dimensions of Seasons 1, 2, & 3 (remember Season 4 had a 7th disc b/c that season had 26 episodes & that made the set thicker). Most importantly, it's a BLAST revisiting the Season 5 episodes, which to me are some of the series' greatest!
