He's on vacation in the show, thought it was a good episode, as the interrogation went on Anderson got more emotional so it probably couldn't have been him. Do you find this valuable?

I thought this was a pretty good episode. I like the interrogation episodes every once in a while, they're a little less gory, and still interesting. And the twists in the plot sorta kept me geussing. I didn't know weather to beleive the guy or not. Also, I like how Reid is coming out of his shell a little more, and becoming less akward. I still DO NOT like Seaver AT ALL. I mean come. on. The only reason she's on the team is because of her father, and she doesn't know anything about profiling. Why the hell didn't they just keep the damn show how it was??? Ugh. But as long as the rest of the team is in tact, I geuss I'm ok with it :/ 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

i liked tonights episode i had a small well maybe not small freak out when Reid poured a cup of coffee and actually drank it. i was thrilled it made everything ok. im a bit sad that we must wait so long for a new episode, especially since its a Reid centric one. sigh im going to go throough withdrawls 0  out of 1 found this valuable. New member here! :)

Anyway, I really liked tonight's episode. The ending made me cry. Do I dare say CM is picking back up...? I guess we'll see.

I was very uncertain about Anderson, but to be honest, I'm relieved he turned out to be innocent -- I'm just sad he was serving 25 long hellish years for a heinous crime he never committed. And I'm glad Morgan was right all along. If he'd been wrong, the guilt would've been awful. I wouldn't want to wish that on anyone.

As for Ashley Seaver, I actually like her. I've noticed that people aren't really adjusting to her well. I can get why. I mean, we just lost JJ. And remember how you all reacted when Elle and Gideon left and were replaced by Emily and Rossi? And then there seems to be jealousy amongst Reid fangirls about the whole SpencerxAshley thing being implied. I honestly won't like it if they're paired up later... but I'm kind of dubious about it even happening. I find it kind of funny that Ashley looks like JJ. Anyway, I don't hate her. I'm quite pleased that she's (at least guest-starring) on the show. I don't find her to be whiny and self-centered, or a person who gets too attached to cases. You have to look at it this way: what if you were the daughter of a sociopath who murdered 25 women? It's traumatic. It reminded me of the "Kids of Killers" documentary I watched. Ashley's a strong, independent woman. In the last episode, she handled the case they were working on very well, despite the fact that it hit way close to home. She doesn't get too attached to CASES, she just got too attached to this one case -- and for obvious reasons. She was basically reliving her childhood. Tell me none of you wouldn't be the same way if you were in her shoes. Also, she's young and inexperienced, so I get why she doesn't entirely understand profiling.

I agree with loraya. (I'm new too, actually...)

I like Ashley; surprisingly. I had planned to hate her. But peole need to realize she's not replacing JJ. She's not really a team member, I think she's just training. I wouldn't mind a Reid/Seaver pairing, and I usually love the idea of Reid and JJ. I guess we'll just see where the whole thing goes. :) we survived Gideon and Elle... If Seaver stays, we'll all get used to her too.

Thanks, sparkshark. Even though I'm new, I welcome you anyway. :) I kinda consider myself a not-so-new member, because I've been "on" this site for months, I just never made an account. Lol. I also agree that she's just there to train. Considering she's still an FBI cadet. But if she becomes a permanent part of the team, I'll be happy.

Also, who besides me liked the moment where Strauss (man, a certain b-word was going through my head during this episode) was telling Rossi for not understanding politics, and he looked at her and was like, "Oh, I DO understand politics... I just don't CARE." Pretty sure that was a zing! for Strauss. Ha, at least someone got to her.

First of all, I would like to ask, did I miss Hotch or was he not even on at all?
Next, I love the way Rossi talks to Strauss. Nobody talks to Strauss the way Rossi does. I just find it so amusing. How does he get away with it?
As for Seaver, I think I kinda like her. Of course, no one can replace JJ and I think they are smart to not try and find someone to fill JJ's role. Seaver has a totally different role. I didn't like Jordan at all because I would compare her to JJ and in my opinion, she fell short.
All in all, its a good episode tonight..

hey,

the episode wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Somehow I stayed tuned in, because I waited for hotch. Sadly he never appeared. Funny we get warned that Paget Brewster got less episodes, but that they cut hotch from entire episode we hear nothing.

As for the new agent the jury is still out on that one. She is a bit too eager for my liking to fit. And this comes from someone who always liked the replacing characters more than the original eg Rossi and Prentis.

And, oh god I love "hating" Strauss.

Rossi save us of strauss xD
Interesting episode, I like when they interrupted the reunion, Morgan attacks again *O*

If I could choose between keep the team without Ashley, or put her to steal lines and episodes of the main characters, I prefer the first one a thousand times. (I can't believe it, CM episode without Hotch)

I don't like to see Ashley as important character, Suddenly she appear and they gave her an entire episode (that's not happened before).
Truly I don't care if she form part of the team permanently, Only I don't think that she has the merits to get in the BAU.
Rossi had complete justification to enter, but Prentiss.. Hotch didn't want her, despite she worked 10 years in the FBI, studied conduct, speak many languages.
I think, if they really need something from Seaver, Hotch can take the phone and call her XDDD

As has been said already, we have adapted to characters changes, and I have no problem with that.

I love criminal minds, I just hope it doesn't end in something illogical.

Hotch did not want Prentiss because he was not consulted about her hiring. She was forced on him.

After she quit rather than carry tales to Strauss his attitude toward her changed.

Witness how he got her to return to the team.

I was somewhat underwhelmed by this episode. Started out very slowly, Reid didn't really do anything of importance, NO HOTCH and the scene where Morgan interrupted that party or whatever was kinda cheesy.
But Reid drinks coffee again! The guy who playd Anderson was good. And Rossi was totally kick-ass with Strauss. I'm starting to think that his secret is that he "hit that", so to speak. The way she looked at him... There's definitely chemistry there. That, or I'm just completely making this up. Either way is good, really.
I really liked Anderson's flashback scene. Very gripping, my favorite part of the ep.

I think I've had quite enough of Morgan for this season. Still not sure about Seaver. She needs to prove herself.

And what was up with zooming into Prentiss wiping her bloody hands? Twice? Does it mean something?

Eh... This wasnt one of their better episodes. I really hated the part where Morgan went into the fundraiser and made a big scene. It was just too unrealistic for my taste. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I thought this was a great episode. I had a feeling that they had the wrong guy in prison. I missed Hotch. It didn't seem like I was watching Criminal Minds because Hotch wasn't there. I don't think it's fair that Don served 25 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Because of that, he missed out on his son's life. I also thought it was weird when the camera kept zooming into Prentiss wiping her bloody hands. I loved the end scene where Morgan reunited Don with his son Joshua. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Since a couple people mentioned Prentiss and her strange action of wiping her hands, I couldn't help wondering as well. I noticed Morgan looking at Prentiss, but he didn't seem to pay too much attention to it. But I do find it a little unusual. I've never seen her like that. She wasn't acting all freaked-out, but from what I can tell, it looked like obsessive-compulsiveness to me. Being one who has a mild case of OCD, I would know. If she's leaving the show (I really wish she wasn't; I'm more upset about her departure than JJ's), then her new habit probably has something to do with it. It could be leading up to a breakdown, possibly? Though that part's getting just a little old, considering the psychological setbacks already seen in the show when Elle and Gideon couldn't take their job anymore. Either way, Prentiss may be losing her grip on her ability to compartmentalize. And she did just hold the hand of a dying woman.

As for Hotch, I don't get why everyone's making such a big deal about him not being in this episode. Don't get me wrong, I adore him, but I understand he needs a break for once; the poor guy's been through so much the past couple years. And he needs to be with his son. He'll be back, and I don't doubt that.

Aaand... I don't get how it's a rip-off of "The Fugitive," either. o.O; That comment confused me. I've seen the movie, and I see the similarities, but they're still very different, in my eyes. It's just the fact that this kind of thing happens a lot, believe it or not, and the writers decided to try this perspective in order to try something a little different for CM. That's how I'm seeing it. I dunno, I just felt like posting another comment.

No Hotch.... no me! I couldn't believe he was completely out of the episode. I think that is the first episode where one of the team was missing entirely... and Hotch of all people! For me CM is Hotch. He is the binding force, he gives it its edginess and focus. Without him I found the episode slow, boring, predictable. I was very disappointed we didn't get a scene with Hotch and Jack - as a lead in to whatever issues Hotch is trying to deal with. Anyway, I don't mind if CM has a bad episode - as long as it gets back on track. But please don't leave Hotch, the main character out again!!! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

25 to Life was a terrific episode. I miss Hotch on this episode. I like that Prentiss volunteered to be Ashely's training agent. I like what Ashely told Prentiss thanks for having my back and Prentiss told her "I hope you have mine." I hope Ashely will have Prentiss' back if anything happens to her. I love the flashback with Don Sanderson. I hate to say this but I'm with Prentiss what she said, "In Name and Blood," "I hate politics." I'm glad they caught the real killer and Sanderson get's his life back, but he lost twenty-five years of his life. I love that Don was reunited with his son Joshua. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. I have mixed feelings on it. I remember some of my thoughts as I was first watching. Rossi telling Hotch to take as much time as he wanted made me initially think that Jack was sick or Hotch was sick or Jessica couldn't watch Jack. I was a bit surprised we didn't even get to hear Hotch's voice on the other end. Or get a glimpse of him sitting at home looking sleep-deprived & sad. The anniversary of a loved one's death can be very difficult. Birthdays & holidays are tough too.
Did anyone else notice that Strauss stared at Morgan's crotch when he entered the room? http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ldjawqAJ0o1qcmdl0o1_500.jpg
I noticed 2 photos on Rossi's desk. One is of Joe Mantegna & Ringo Starr. Not sure on the other one.
After Hotch didn't even appear I started to wonder if Reid was going to be in the episode at all too. With commercial breaks he didn't appear until 15 minutes in. When he did appear he looked like he'd barely made it out of bed. His hair was a mess, he looked tired, and his shirt was untucked. He was mostly quiet & contributed very little to the case.
Btw, if you look at the newspaper he was holding it had an article about the case from "Reflections of Desire". Also, the drug raid article had random words thrown in as filler. LOL.
I noticed that Reid drank coffee but that he didn't put sugar in it. Someone took a screencap and captioned it as someone telling Reid he had "a coffee problem" and said his response was "I don't have a coffee problem; YOU have a coffee problem: I just took the last cup." LOL.
I was actually enjoying the episode. I was fairly certain the guy was innocent but I also thought maybe he had just had some sort of delusion and actually believed someone else had killed his family. Btw, I should point out that if he never admitted to the crime there is no way in hell they would ever parole him (cont..)
