It looks like Reid's headachs haven't been totally ignored. I think that book he was carrying at the beginning said Migraine on the front of it!

Such cute scenes between Hotch/Jack and Reid/Sammy. There was hardly any Hotch in the episode though. Loved that Reid got that piano at the end.

Did not get why Rossi is playing video games with Seaver. Wanted her to fall off the airplane when she said that rude comment to Reid at the beginning. Hopefully, if Ian kills any of the team it is her. Really liked the scenes about the Prentiss storyline. Loved the episode!

Great Episode! Best one they've had in a long time. I'm really digging the Prentiss story-arc! Should be a great rest of the Season. I just hope that Paget, Shemar and TG all get their contracts renewed. Ditch that spinoff BS and keep the regulars. Oh, and Seaver needs to dye her hair. Everytime they show her i get excited because at a glance she's very JJ looking, then I get sad when i find out its not JJ. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I thought it was great episode. Going back old school and using clues and profiling to track down the Unsub. The ending was a little weaksauce. I was getting tired of seeing Garcia solve all the cases. The episodes were going too techie.

The Emily arc is getting very interesting. Can't wait for next week. Hopefully she makes it back next season.

Yep Solid, Seaver needs to go red head ala Scarlett from the GI Joe movie. She also plays games like a noob by trying to move the objects on screen with her body.

PS - The intro song for CM:SB is so garbage.

Does anyone know if the piano piece the 10 year old autistic boy was playing is an original composition from the episode or is it recorded anywhere? 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

This was a very different episode for CM. The unsub wasn't really an 'unsub' as he was acting out of desperation - he didn't intend to kill or hurt anyone. He wanted his family back. This was nothing he'd done before, he wasn't a serial killer - he wasn't a killer. Charlie's death was an accident, he didn't intend to kill him. This whole episode had a very different feel to it.

I like the personal touches in the episode and the final team scenes together: Hotch kissing his son goodnight, Morgan and Garcia watching a movie together, Reid riding the metro and getting a keyboard and 'game night' with Rossi and Seaver. It was really cool to see them all interact.

I wouldn't want to see any team member killed off. As I've mentioned in another thread, they aren't 'shoving' Seaver down our throats like they did when Rossi came onboard, so I don't mind her. Doesn't make me miss JJ less, but Seaver is not a bad character. She didn't take JJ's job - Garcia is doing it and she's got a role all her own.

I like Prentiss' story arc - it has a lot of 'thrill' and excitement to it, even more than The Reaper storyline. I look forward to next week to see where it goes....

This episode for me was a really nice and touching episode. I loved the team scenes at the end, really loved that morgan just like threw his pencil pen away when garcia came in. The Seaver/Rossi playing games was nice though I hated how she was rude to Reid. Even the team are a bit nicer about Reid going on and on. I loved the Hotch/Jack moments and the Reid/Sammie interaction. I love the Emily arc its great so far I hope she comes back too. Still dont really like Seaver all that much though maybe she'll grow on me but right now I'm thinking not. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Great episode! Plot seemed well thought out and no random jumping to conclusions plus it seemed like each team member got at least a few good lines. I;m hoping Reid's little migraine book is the writers saying that they havent completely forgotten that he's supposed to have headaces.
All the cute scenes at the end with team together made the perfect ending to the episode and I have to admit I actually didn't mind Seaver as much this time. Don't know how I'm going to wait for next week!!!!

I liked the way Ian mentioned that he thought Emily should be on the metro with Dr. Reid, I like those two together. A nice mantage about the team at the end. I'm getting really nervous about 6.18. The previews for the next episode have the BAU shooting it out. Hope noone gets hurt, or at least not killed. Do you find this valuable?

I really liked this episode, it took a different path I found very interesting, though I miss not knowing who the unsub is till the end
I also would have liked to see more Hotch v_v
getting VERY excited with the Prentiss story-line
still not really liking Seaver so I ignore her for the most part. And I still haven't watched the spin off...wouldn't be caught dead doing so.

Let me say first... OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG to the preview for next week.

Okay, now.

Reid = <3 He's so awesome. I thought it was epic when he and Sammy played the piano together. And he bought a keyboard at the end! YEEEAH! I have one of my own.

I absolutely adore the interactions at the end, and I think the writers made a good move in having Rossi and Seaver conduct a game night.

Love Emily. "I have a Glock leveled at your crotch right now. What's to keep me from taking you and the little ones out?" I laughed at that one.

Any help would be great,

"Coda" was amazing and such a major improvement on "Today I Do", it was brilliant on so many levels. The guest stars were awesome in this episode. I take my hat off to Rick Dunkle. He gave us all those little family team moments which I was pining for since "JJ" so thank you Rick!
Hotch with little Jack was beyond adorable, as was the scene with Morgan when Hotch recognized the drawing was of a dog. I enjoyed the playful banter between the two.
I feel like they all contributed something worthwhile to the case which again was very nice.
The opening and closing scenes were done amazingly. Little Sammy was superb. The scene in which he was reunited with his mother and reached out to her was so touching. It literally tugged at my heartstrings and I teared up.
Reid oh Reid...I don't know what to say. He continues to blow me away. He is not autistic though, which I thought he was so that doubt was cleared up. He was simply fabulous in this episode and his scenes with Sammy were so sweet, especially those piano scenes..my heart totally melted. I loved that he was back to his genius best, I've missed that side of him this season. I'm definitely going to watch this episode again. Reminded me of the old CM. Only thing missing was JJ. Oh and that Ian Doyle creep..Emily should've just shot him in the crotch, I loved the scene with her and Doyle and how she's so fearless..she's my idol and I love her to bits..don't go Em :'(

Even the unsubs see Reid/Prentiss, not just us.
I liked the episode. There were team interactions and profiling to make us all happy. The Reid and Sammy parts where adorable. This and Uncanny Valley prove to me that Reid needs kids. He's so great with Sammy and Samantha that he needs to be a father. I loved the end with the Morgan/Garcia movie night, Rossi/Seaver game night, Hotch and Jack, Reid buying a piano, and Emily and Doyle. I can't wait for Valhalla and I hope Emily kills Doyle in Lauren.

WOW, what an episode! Can't wait for the next two ones, though they have the bitterness of being Paget's last ones.

It seems like Seaver starts to get a role. I am amazed. Finally the writers realized that you can't be a profiler from 0 to 100 in a sec. I like it that Rossi becomes kinda her mentor/ daddy. Did I notice it correctly that she didn't went into the house with Hotch and the others but waited outside. Seaver gets a real BAU trainee.... studiying books, getting to know the others (Reid at his best <3)

I am really getting into this Emily arc. Wonder what her secret is.... can't think of anything sensible...I agree to you all that it was nice how they showed the team interaction in the end. And afterwards the Prentiss-scene, as if to show us and her: That's what is at stake.

Coda was just so damn cute. Reid with Sammy, Hotch with Jack, Morgan&Garcia, Rossi&Ashley playing video games. Did you guys notice that Rossi actually winked at Garcia when they returned?

Speaking of Rossi, I wonder if his secret is somehow related to autism or children. Just crossed my mind.

I loved the opening and closing montages and the directing was great in general. I would have liked to have even more Reid though. It's a shame they cut out Dave's line from the promo clip ("you're looking at two of the most fascinating minds I've ever encountered").
Rick's writing was great as well, and even surprising at times. I did not expect Sammy's father to die and I did not expect Sammy's mother to shoot the unsub.
I'm so glad they didn't just drop Reid's headaches.

The guy who played the unsub wasn't all that convincing, but the kid who played Sammy was amazing.

I'm really liking Ashley, I think she's kinda adorable.

I hate Ian Doyle so much. I really, really hope he dies. He's just so...ugh. He was basically proposing to Prentiss (Reynolds?) Can I just say: http://criminalmacros.blogspot.com/2009/12/blog-post_20.html
It's weird though, she's got this mysterious past and I don't even know if I know her anymore.
You guys think Doyle's going to attack Reid in some way?

"I would like to know if the boy was autistic or just an actor playing an autistic boy?"
I was wondering the same thing. The boy was very convincing as an autistic child, but I wonder if having an autistic child actor would be hard to direct. I guess it would depend on the severity of the autism in the actor. Either way it was beautiful to see how the team worked to connect with him on his level of learning and understanding. I thought the best scene was with Reid and Sammy.

The whole episode was great people need to be more aware of Autism and shows like this help. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
