Just go to fanfiction.net and there you will find a wealth of stories. You can choose your rating, language, your characters, and a few other things. Great writing, great reading. Your children can also read because the ratings start from 5 year old. Just a suggestion

I hate tooting my own horn but here goes. I write CM for www.fanfiction.net/tv/Criminal Minds and have two stories there both of which were nominated for Profilers Awards: Mistaken Identities and For The Love of My Child. The second one won for Best Hotch/Reid fanfic of which I am very proud. I also have other stories there and some one shots. All are Hotch-oriented BTW. As I said, I don't like tooting my own horn.

This is the best fanfiction I have ever read, really intense and exciting, especially if you love Reid and "Revelations":http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5949220/1/Exodus_21_17 I also like this one, even though it is quite dramatic and sad - it has a focus on Derek and Reid, NO pairings. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7074484/1/The_Prodigal_Son 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
