1. RE: Season 6 Satisfaction
May 19 2011, 6:47 PM EDT
I think that not a lot happened in this season. There was the big issue with the sudden loss of JJ (which I thought was really sudden and not dealt with well at all) which left the viewers focused on who would fill her place. Because of this, I felt like there wasn't much character development at all. I liked Seaver, liked her tragic backstory, but I feel like she's still awkward around the other cast members, like she still doesn't fit in (both her character and the actress). But there's been no real interaction between the characters to bring it out into the open. It was kinda like the elephant in the room that was never addressed. Then we had the loss of Prentiss, which was another turn that caught the viewers attention. I felt it was awkward because Seaver didn't know her very well and probably wasn't as effected by her loss, and again looked like the odd-man-out, not-fitting-in. (Personally, I think it would have been better if Prentiss had stayed with the team after her ordeal and they helped her recuperate or something.) Also, with such a big dramatic event happening, I felt the season finale kinda fell flat, with no big twists or attention-grabbers other than the fact that some of the agents "might not return". But the whole cast, minus Thomas Gibson and Paget, have already re-signed their contracts for next season. Overall, I felt the season was kind of shallow compared to its past seasons, with no new backstorys or developments, and I think it was because of the turmoil behind the scenes. I still really love the show though, and am looking forward to the next season already! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

It started out okay, but then was ruined by the firing of AJ, the cutting of Paget's role and the addition of the poorly conceived Seaver. TPTB have partly redeemed themselves by rehiring AJ, but unless the rehire Paget and/or get rid of the Seaver character, I have a feeling CM will lose more viewers (and they have lost a lot due to what was done to AJ and Paget, enough that CBS considered cancelling CM). At least CBS had the sense to cancel the awful spin off!

For me this season was weaker then previous. I don't mind cutting of JJ, or Emili, OK I was real sorry because of Paget but most stories were not as good as I expected. E.g Episode Hanely Waters, again for me, was horrible. I watch this show because of the profiling and great psychopaths who are being captured by awesome crew and they are still that. Seaver is good addition and she fits in.I would really like to see Emilly once again, she is great. I almost wished that Paget's new project is a failure so she can return and hunt Doyle.

I was sad to see Prentiss go but otherwise I really loved the season . It was so much better than the weak season five. Most of the cases were interesting. The show concentrated more on the cases and the profiling again instead of the personal drama of some of the characters. Don`t get wrong, I love to see glimpses of the characters personal life and I love nice team moments and even agents in peril now and again. But in season five they dragged out the Foyet/Hotch storyline far too long. It distracted and took away from the cases. And when it was finally over, half of the season was gone and they still did not find a way back to good story telling. In season 6 the Prentiss exit storyline was not dragged out too long and overall the season had better storylines than season 5 IMO. Season 6 is one of my favorite seasons of Criminal Minds.

Overall, this season wasn't as good as previous ones. The cliffhanger wasn't really that good. One thing I would like to see is more of the character's background. I think with the new Executive Producer taking over, the show will take a whole new direction.

I wouldn't really say that this was the worst season, but I would say that every other season was better.. I don't think there was a single bad season, or even a bad episode. I've liked every episode so far ,but this season had the least good episodes. Most of the seasons had a lot of great episodes, but this season didn't really feel like it was up to the potential that the other seasons have been. The thing that really bugs me about this season is Rachel Nichols. I don't like her and I don't like her acting and since they brought her in to replace JJ makes it even worse. By the end of the season I just couldn't stand her. Her character seems forced and she doesn't fit in at all. If Prentiss and JJ are coming back next season, then there is no reason that She should even be on the show at all next season, she doesn't fit. I didn't like the first couple of episodes of this season as much as the other seasons, but there were some GOOD episodes. I wouldn't really say that this was the worst season, but I liked the previous 5 better. I really don't like the way that they brought Seaver in, her character seems entirely forced. The show doesn't need her. It seems like the writers are trying to force her character on everyone still after shes been on the show most of the season,it seems like she is trying to be JJ. The fact that 2 main cast members were almost removed from the show this season is bad, they would have to bring someone else in if they were gone for good. There were a few good episodes this season but there were also a few that I didn't like. I didn't like that episode where Reid was having headaches, because they completely dropped it after that episode and it seems like they were considering killing him off. Overall I am satisfied with this season, but I know they can do much better. I can't wait for season 7. But I hope Seaver is gone by then. 5 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

I wasn't really a fan of this season. I felt like they tried to change to many things in way to little of time. I also thought that this season the charcters personalities weren't very consistant. Reid wasn't neirly as smart of vulnerable, Morgan and Prentiss hardly spoke, and Rossie sudenly became a push over. And unlike the other seasons the unsubs weren't nearly as creative and they also always told us who the unsub was within the first few minutes. I really hated that. It was always nice how in the older seasons, throught the whole episode you just tried to guess who the unsub was and it was always a bit more suspensful that way to. And than of course there is the whole Ashley Seaver thing that I don't even want to get into. But those were the things that bothered me the most.

Satisfaction? "Extreme DIS-satisfaction." If CBS want me back, they need to:1. Get Paget re-signed--I'm not talking "offer" but "go for as hermetically-sealed rectal liplock if that's what it takes to win her over." 2. Better writing. 3. (ties in with 2) Give Rossi his balls back, darnit! 4. If CBS could please please pretty please fire Nina Tassler, that'd go a long way but if the other three are met I'll give here. (And I'll even give on this one--personal preference is Arnold-on-the-Harrier-in-True Lies "You're Fired" rather than Donald-on-The Apprentice. :p ) Do you find this valuable? |

I've enjoyed this season. The show isn't necessarily worse because of the replacement characters in my opinion, but it does have a very different feeling to it. I would like to see Seaver's character develop more, but I assume it'll happen next season. There was too much going on with Prentiss and JJ for them to focus on her too much. Just about everyone here has said almost exactly my thoughts on the season (not as good as previous seasons but not terrible). I think with JJ coming back next season things will definitely improve.

I personally think it could've been better. I mean don't get me wrong I love criminal minds I watch it every day but some of te episodes didn't have that good of a storyline. I really don't like Seaver so I'm glad she's leaving and I was really ticked when JJ left but now she's coming back so woooo!! Plus I kind of hope paget brewster's new show bombs so she can come back as prentiss! No offense but paget, your meant for criminal minds (: luv ya <3

Having recently watched reruns from different seasons this is without doubt the weakest in terms of writing. Plots ripped off from well known films - Misery, Psycho, Natural Born Killers. Cheap dialogue - while reflecting on a horror movie some of the team had seen, Strauss appears and Rossi says 'talking of horror' . Cheap shot that somebody of Rossi's calibre would never say. In fact the whole team seem to have lost the ability to talk in sentences of more than ten words. Seaver - interesting idea but so poorly written it was laughable. Rossi and Hotch practically disappeared in some episodes. Reid lost his geeky, brilliance. Morgan was so macho at times it was offensive. ALL the interesting filming - profiler walking alongside unsub etc. has gone completely. I think a team of good actors has been poorly served. It sounds negative but I did enjoy the Lauren arc and I still love the characters and concept of the whole show I just feel they've forgotten that viewers have brains.

We’ve all thought about how she’ll return, and I’d like to share an idea! We all love Prentiss. We understand why she went into hiding, and we want her to come back charging, strong and fierce like a tiger!!! But what if she came back… as a fugitive!?! How about this scenario: She got an Interpol leak that told her they confirmed Doyle was dead. She goes to her protective custody marshals, and says “I want out. I want my life back. I’m not good at staring at the walls, and picking china patterns twice a year. I can’t take this isolation. I need my work. I need my life.” His response: “I hear you Agent Prentiss but we still haven’t found his son. Until we do, the people who want Declan are going to be after you for his location. Doyle IS gone, but that does not lessen the danger YOU are in. Your request is denied.” She left his office. Days later, she tricked the marshals accompanying her, and she got away from them. One night, after an especially trying case, Hotch comes into his home, and disables his alarm. After pouring himself a drink, he hears a sound, like a pencil taping. As he gets his gun, he begins to search for the source of the noise, remembering too keenly that the last time he had an unwanted visitor, he was stabbed nine times and left at an ER with Morgan’s IDs. Clearing several of the rooms in his apartment, he finally comes to his home office workspace, where the soft desk lamp casts the image of someone in his chair, with his back to Hotch. Hotch moved carefully toward the person, with gun loaded, aimed and ready to fire. “May I help you???” Hotch asked. The chair turns around slowly to reveal his visitor. Immediately he recognized it was Prentiss. In my imagination, this can go either way depending on if Hotch knew she was alive. I’ve read somewhere the official word is he did. I have ideas also for how he would react if he didn’t!!! This season is going to be awesome!!! XD XD Do you find this valuable? |

Ummm....I don't know how to say this in less harsh terms but I HATED season 6, and a lot of it had to do with the addition of Ashley Seaver. But I'm not going to get into that since she's not coming back, and I'm very very glad, because I was going to stop watching if she returned next season. Thank you TPTB/CBS!Having said that, whilst I wasn't a fan of the season overall, I liked all the previous seasons better, this season had some stand alone episodes, I especially enjoyed "JJ", "Reflection of Desire", "Corazon", "Coda", "Valhalla" and "Out of the Light." There, out of 24 episodes, I would only rewatch six, whilst in the previous seasons, I keep rewatching all the episodes. I think season 6 even gave us the weakest episodes in CM history, in the form of "What Happens at Home" "25 to Life", and "the Thirteenth Step." Reid - my favourite character was shoved into the background. Instead of giving him a storyline that highlighted and magnified his genius, they gave him some lame headache storyline and didn't even conclude it properly. I know it will be resolved next season, but I just want the storyline dropped. It's been dragging. And I hope we get some great Reid stuff, we see the genius Reid again, the type we saw in the 1st 5 seasons. I'm very, very excited about season7, with Paget and AJ returning. There is a lot of material for the writers to work with whilst bringing Emily back. It will be interesting to see the team's reaction to her being alive and how they'll react to the fact that JJ and Hotch hid such a huge secret from them. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it turns out to be the best season ever, it has the potential to be now that we have our beloved team together!! I'm delighted :D! Season6 was just like a bad dream I want to forget :p 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hey CMs!!! Another idea!!! Check it out!!! XD Ep 7.1, “Homecoming” is all about the team adjusting to JJ coming back. After the end of her first case back, she says goodbye to Morgan and Reid in the bullpen, and smiles softly as they walk away with Garcia and Seaver. Then she turns and sees Hotch still working. She walks to his door, and comes in, without a word. When he looks up, and sees her, he stops. They stare at each other quietly, with each knowing what the other is not saying. The windows let in the night starlight. Suddenly it’s day, outdoors amidst trees and open air. The scene changes, to a board room, a meeting of SCIF, in “Cameroon, Africa”, A gentleman is talking, recounting the events in America surrounding Agent Prentiss’ “death”. Closing, he says “We are still trying to get Doyle, who escaped the raid. I know this is a difficult task, but you all are the best. We are not going to let Doyle slip back into the shadows. I will be running point on this operation…. (He looks to his left, talking directly to someone unseen), and with your help, we will catch him.” The camera looks to his left, and sees Prentiss, with long curly hair, no bangs. Her expression is firm, and decided. She moved her eyes from him to the team seated at the table. She directs “This time, no excuses.” Isn’t that great!!! She comes back at the end of 7.1 to announce her new role, in the continued Doyle-capture efforts of the SCIF! In 7.2 she comes back full force. They discover that Doyle is still in the states, so they have to come back. She is lead on this case, but some of the older SCIF/ OPS team don’t like taking orders from her. One guy is a traitor. When the Prentiss/SCIF/OPS team was closing in on Doyle, it happened to be very nearby where the BAU was trying to catch an unsub! The traitor shot Prentiss in her back! When Morgan heard the random gunfire, he looked to find the source, and saw a woman falling down! XD Do you find this valuable? |
