I just kind of felt like adding this..... :P I often heard Garcia talking about the team as her "family", so I decided to put out my opinion of the roles in the BAU family:
The father was Gideon, but now could be Rossi(?). The mother was/is JJ and the crazy big sister is Garcia. Prentiss was also a sister and Morgan was the biggest brother! Reid, of course, is the youngest brother and the kid that everyone looks out for.

Does anyone know where Hotch stands in? Thoughts? Have a different opinion on the roles?

I only recently began watching, so here is my take on Season 1/2 pre-Gid and Elle leaving

Dad: Gideon
Mom: Hotch

Oldest Brother: Morgan
Oldest Sister: Garcia
Youngest Sister: JJ
Youngest Brother: Reid

and Elle was a mix of girlfriend (Reid/Elle shipper here!), older cousin (well, at least older than Penelope), stepchild, etc.

After Gid and Elle left, I think the dynamic was similar except Hotch became the daddy and JJ was more mothery. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Father - Was Gideon, now Rossi
Mom-JJ
Hotch - Step-Daddy
Emily - Step-Mother
Morgan - Brother
Reid - Morgans BF (BoyFriend cuz, well i think its pretty obvious, they like eachother, hehe - BUT could also be Best Friend if ur more comfortable with that. :-) )
Garcia- First cousin
Elle - Second Cousin Do you find this valuable?
