SOOO Awesome!!!

I think it was GREAT the way that they used the Senate committee hearing to bring us up to speed on the whole situation!!! I think what they did with Ashley was great too! Wasn't it alittle funny when Emily was asked to join the team and she said "Can I think about it? (10 Seconds) I'm in!!!"

GGGRRREEEAAATTT SSSTTAAARRRTTTT!!!!!!

(I'll be back to post more!!! The Fall Season Has Officially Begun!!!)

Yes!! that was definitely my favorite quote of today's episode!! But overall, strong start, and very great episode. I'm just glad the whole team is back together :) I loved the way they told the story and how they went back and forth between past and present.

I don’t mean for this to sound bad, but now that Ian is dead, and he said goodbye to his son, Emily can move on with her life. I think that Emily and Declan have room for a friendship in the future, but hopefully not like Morgan and Ellie :-P We don’t want Declan running away from his caretakers, and showing up hundreds of miles away from where he’s supposed to be. (And Ian, take a lesson- stop messing over Brunettes!!! They get you!)

And you think, did Declan grow THAT much in Seven Months??? What kind of steroids was he on!! MY GOODness!!! Jeeezzzz!!!! :-D

I was so sad for Reid, who seemed to be suspicious of Prentiss when Straus said “At least you have her back.” He said “Do we?” Maybe he’s questioning what he knew about her all along if she would tell them all that she was dead, and then not be. ???

I REALLY felt bad for Morgan. It seemed like he wanted to cry about her standing there after she “died in his arms/hands”. He couldn’t even really hug her all the way. Then she jumped back into work??? I would be speechless also! Very good writing!!!

Then Hotch says “Hey people. It’s all my fault. I made the call. I did this. Problems? Take them up with me.” Who do you think will do that??? Reid?

Lastly, … (whew) Emily stood up for the team with the senate, after the team stood up for her with Doyle. Maybe it’s not completely a fair trade, but her standing up for them when they stood up for her kind of levels the playing field for them, and they are all equal team members, one not owe-ing to the other. Brings the whole thing full circle I suppose. Then she recites the constitution, seeming to re-claim her place as an agent of the law? Hope the Senate’s bottom doesn’t bruise so easily after that spanking!!!

Ohh!!! "This is calm, and it's doctor." Isn't' that the first time he ever claimed that? Most times someone else introduces him as such!!! Did you see it was HIS shot that took out Declan's mother? Declan saw both his parents die in one night. Is he going to be an unsub???

Overall, I thought it was very good. The story was interesting, the flow was seamless, and … OUR CAST IS BACK!!!!

WAHHHOOOOO!!!!! KUDOS TO CM WRITERS, CREW & CAST!!! AWESOME WORK!!!! WE LOVE IT!!!! XD

(Now I’m about to get some sleep!!! Good night!!!)

It was so good to see the team together again. especially the emily-jj scene, when in the end they walked arm in arm.
And, yes, Reid! haha... so great. I actually thought that he would take it harder that Prentiss is back. But he just seems to be glad.
Amazing episode!! One of my three favs (with JJ and 100)

WOW. I literally sat there smiling for an hour straight. Did I miss something, or do we not know what is going to happen with Declan? Who is going to be his caretaker?

I would have liked to see a little bit more of the Emily - Doyle drama... I mean he did kind of stab her and almost kill her. But y'know. All in all it was SUCH an awesome episode, the reactions to Emily returning were perfect.

LOVED Reid's "this is calm, and it's doctor." I also loved the JJ/Emily scene, but I am looking forward to seeing how Reid and Morgan react to Em's return, as the shock goes away.

This team works and this cast works, I can't imagine a better team. Cept maybe if we got to be on it. :p haha

I GOT IT!!!

I thought the ep was GREAT, and very seamless, all things considered, but something was …different. Like if you taste your favorite recipe, and it’s good, but something’s not quite right all the way. I figured out what was missing!!!!

Last season when we learned Emily was returning, we all had our thoughts of how that would happen (more so than we posted about how she would exit!). Most of what I thought SHould happen DID happen.

- She walked back into the BAU instead of having them find out she was alive by bumping into her on the street. Check.
- She said she was sorry about all of it, and that she missed them every day. Check.
- Morgan would seem to be the most shocked. Check.
- Doyle would be dead before the ep was over. Check.
- The team would be restored. Check.

What was missing? The way I envisioned her return, she was just a little more apologetic to them about having them believe that she was dead. Even though she was back for work, there were a few tears in her eyes about the hurt she knew they felt about what she had to do. I felt like she didn’t say enough to the team to really show regret for what happened. It seemed almost like what happened was just brushed over, and for what happened to be as big as it was, the simple brush seemed like she wasn’t really sorry. That bit of genuine-ness was absent.

Another thing in my vision??? After everyone is kind of moving into the shock of seeing her, she says to them “That’s it. …. That’s everything. … There’s nothing else you don’t know about me.” It made sense to me that she offered them that, as some assurance that this would never happen again, and that she could be trusted again.

Of course the team would work through at each’s own pace (which was also worked out in my head!), but maybe something more in the way of an apology from Emily would have worked.

On the other hand, did she need it?

The way I thought about it, Hotch didn’t know she was alive, and JJ brought her in. Later when Morgan confronts Hotch about Emily being alive, Hotch says only “I had my suspicions.” Of course we know why she was gone, but the characters have their own reality. In this ep, with Hotch,… all I can think about was… The Dark Knight. We’ve all seen that right, with Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker. At the end, Batman says to Com.Gordon that the people of Gotham can’t know that SuperGoodGuy Harvey Dent turned into a revenge-bent killer. They need something to hope in, and they believed in his good. They need that hope. There DOES need to be an answer for all the dead people in his wake, so… blame me. I will take all the hatred, anger, and everything, because their hatred of me won’t affect them as badly have having no hope. I’ll take everything they throw, for their benefit, so they can believe in good.”

That’s what Hotch did!!! “Hey team. It was my call. My decision. She was obeying an order, just the same if we were in the field, and I told her to take the shot. Don’t be angry at her. I told her to go into hiding. I did this. Blame me. If you have any problems with it, come to me. Don’t take them out on her.”

Hotch threw himself under the bus and took all the blame for Emily, like Batman did for Harvey Dent, to protect Gotham City, and the BAU-Gothamites get the benefit/privilege of believing in Emily’s good, and being able to trust.

So I’m on the fence. I thought she should have been more apologetic, but if Hotch took responsibility, did she need to be??? Maybe, just for the team to know it wasn't easy to follow that order, and that she knew she hurt them. Hmmm, if Harvey Dent hadn’t died at the end, should he have been apologetic for what he was pushed to do by a crazy villain?

Speaking of Doyle, ...

In Ep Lauren, Doyle branded Emily with a 4-leaf clover. But did anyone else notice how low cut Emily’s yellow blouse was? … Where was the brand? Did you see it? I didn’t see it.

Maybe during her hiding, she had that portion of skin removed, and the opening left was closed as a wound would be, so now it’s a straight-line scar, that can be concealed in basic clothing. I don’t know. But I thought about her brand-scar and what happened with it. And if, even in Doyle’s death, would it have remained as a reminder/haunting of what all happened, with him, and “losing” her life. Reid had a few flashbacks about being tortured. Sure Emily may have some memories about being “killed”.

I’ll check back in later CMs!

Until then, “This IS calm, and it’s Doctor.” :-D

I have 1 thing to say:
Reid is sooooooooooooo sexy when he gets ticked!
Haha:)
Anyways, it really was an amazing episode for the short time that they had to re-introduce JJ and bring back Prentiss.
My favorite lines:
"This is calm, and it's docter." Spencer Reid
"....But we buried her..." Spencer Reid
"It's nailed in, I already tried." Emily Prentiss
My favorite moment:
It's a tie between the Prentiss and JJ scene
The Prentiss and Rossi scene
The ENTIRE scene where Hotch a JJ talk for like 2 seconds, then the team meets, and Hotch says "Blame me." Garcia says "She's alive?" Prentiss walks in, they are in shock. Prentiss apologizes, and Morgan's in shock
The scene were Prentiss and Garcia discuss Sergio! :)
The scene where Reid gets ticked in the court room
The awkward scene between Reid and Strauss, then when Prentiss comes in and Strauss says "At least you got her back." Reid says "Did we?" (Ahh! I got chills!)
And the scene where Doyle sees Prentiss for the first time since he "killed her".
Wow!
It could not have been better!!!!!!!!!!! I loved every mintue and I can't wait untill next week!!!!!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

THEY'RE BACK!! great episode - I loved it! It felt comfortable....like I knew the team and the dynamic. Season 6 just felt off and uncomfortable! Great episode, good balance of action, profiling, and weaving in the story to get Emily back. All plausible. Well done to the writers for managing to round off the Doyle arc in one episode... of course well done to our team for the great episode. I thought each one was fantastic ..... LOVED HOTCH!! with scruff. He looked a bit tired and gaunt tho so hope he is not like that for the full season. Yes, my team is back and I really look forward to enjoying Season 7. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

What a great episode. Reid all bad a**; loved his new self-confidence. Hotch looked fabulous with the beard.
I have only seen the episode once, but didn't Strauss seem "nicer"? What was the look Rossi gave her? (Was he shocked by her new niceness?)
It is wonderful to have the team back together. This could be a great season!

I agree Slsams! Strauss was nice. I thought the look Rossi gave her had something she had to do with what she had to "talk" to Hotch about in the final, but I could be wrong.

I love love love Reid in this episode!! Did anyone see that shot at the air strip?? That was awesome! The shooting range paid off! Plus that line "This is calm and it's doctor!"

I can't even wait till next week.
