this one has great potential, Hotch with beth was interesting and then talking to Rossi, i love the Hotch/Rossi relationship.

Did anyone else catch Jimmy Hall's first MMA opponent's name? I had to laugh when I heard "... the New Jersey Nightmare, the Punishing Pete Dunkle." I guess using Rick's name would be a tad obvious as an insert.And really loved that connection Hotch had with Jimmy-- telling him to be there for his son, and that scene with Jimmy and his family was sooo sad. *sniff* 4 out of 5 found this valuable. definetly loved the episode Hotch in shorts holy crap my heart nearly stopped beating, so very HOT and im a Reid fanatic! very very awesome episode even though it was sad

I am extremely disappointed with Season 7. The writing is horrible! What has happened to the quality of this show -- it used to be my favorite show and I would look forward to it every week. Every single week the story line becomes weaker and weaker. Tonight's episode with the interaction between Hotchner and Jimmy was completely unrealistic. The writers are not allowing us to think and solve the crime with them. And this Beth character I absolutely hate! Hotch does not need another strong-willed female lead to play opposite him. This actress was been around before and she has never played a likeable character (Law & Order). I hope this story line ends before it begins!! WRITERS -- stop writing such rediculous plots and go back to glory of past seasons!4 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

I also like the relationship between Hotch/Rossi. But I think the whole dynamic of the show has been lost. Tonight's episode had Reid just spouting out the dribble the writers had written to give us the plot. The writers never connected any points. I miss JJ's influence on the public and her dealings and insights with people. Her "promotion" has done nothing to enhance the team. Also, I am completely fed up with Penelope. She is crude, unprofessional, and quite inappropriate. Never would a technical analyst be allowed to behave the way she does in real life. She needs to go!

This season is far better than season 6. I liked the dynamic between Hotch and Beth and Rossi telling Hotch to loosen up a bit and go on the date. If anything, the dynamic between characters really has never been better than it is this season and the personal stories for each character have definitely made it more interesting each week. seh0664, I'm not sure what kind of female they should have cast as Hotch's love interest but I personally think a spunky, athletic woman with personality is a perfect match for him. Not everyone (and definitely not Hotch!) wants someone who just looks pretty in the kitchen. 4 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

I totally agree with you! How anyone can say this season isn't a strong one is really really loosing it. I didn't like the fact that they let Emily go in the first place so that whole story line was a write off for me... but now they are finally getting back on their feet and its getting sooo good again! As for Hotchs love interest, if he doesn't end up with Emily I give up! They would be perfect for each other! I loved the interaction when Hotch was in hospital after the Reaper did his thing between Emily and Hotch. Anywaysss.. more important, I live in the UK so I have to wait until like 3am until you guys have all watched the show, then some nice guys upload it somewhere so I can watch it and catch up but last night nobody uploaded :( so I can't watch it. I cant watch it on CBS either as I'm outside the USA. Can someone tell me where I can find last nights episode? Or I'm upping sticks and moving to the US of A!!! 3 out of 4 found this valuable. She needs to go!"I totally disagree with you, especially in regards to Penelope. I love her spunky, flirty, playful attitude; it's the only thing sometimes that lightens the mood of the show. After all the killing, and dead bodies and gluminess (spell check) she is a refreshing addition to it all. I especially love the way she see's the TEAM as her family and worries about them. And as for Hotch and Rossi's relationship, I think he needs that older, father figure to guide him because he is still not over the whole thing with his wife's death. Everything can't be work, work, work all the time; you have to have an outlet of some sort outside of work and maybe a new relationship is just what he needs to loosen him up. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. I liked the episode, not one of my favs, but it wasn't bad. I however really really wish they would give Reid a love interest (even though I am a Emily/Reid fan). I mean almost everyone has one BUT Reid. Rossi had Caroline (which was implied), Hotch had Haley and now Beth, JJ has Will, Emily was sort of in a relationship with Doyle and Garcia has Kevin. I wish they would give Reid a relationship that lasts more than one episode. The only other character that doesn't have one is Morgan but he has the "player" role so it would fit. Other than that, great episode. 3 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

While most of this season has been better than last season, I really didn't like this episode. The story was terrible. With all the criminals in the world, couldn't they have come up with a better deviency. This episode was more like the horrible stories from last season. Although, I have to admit, I cried when the little boy died!

Loved this episode! Thought the Hotch/Beth scenes were really well done and very realistic. Beth is lovely! Loved the Hotch/Rossi scenes! The beginning amusing and the end very poignant and realistic. Yes TG is wonderful as Hotch and portrays Hotch as intense and complicated character with emotion just below the surface. Great episode. Am really enjoy Season 7 and am glad the writiers are giving a slight focus on different members of the team each week. More Hotch will suit me fine!

The episode was great. I'm not loving Beth at the moment, but I will try to give her a chance. I just think it's too soon for Hotch. I did love Hotch and Haley, they were a good couple. If Hotch was going to date anyone on the team I see him and Prentiss together, but I can see Prentiss with any of the guys on the team. Prentiss and Hotch are my favorite with Morgan and Prentiss close second, except for Criminal Minds isn't that kind of show, where they hook their characters up, so I will settle for all the characters friendships on the show. I thought it was funny when Rossi was teasing Hotch about Beth and Garcia, asking Rossi if Hotch is dating. I love Prentiss' face on the jet, when Hotch came up behind Reid and Morgan, when Garcia was still talking about him. At least Jimmy got to be there for his son Ryan, when Ryan died. I thought that was a sad moment and Hotch with tears in his eyes watching Jimmy telling Ryan it's okay to let go. I can't wait for the next episode, but we have to wait til January 18, for the next new episode, I think.

The Bittersweet Science… Of what?!?! Lots of thoughts: 1. Hotch and Beth- ep start and finish, I saw the whole thing- She was pretty bold to walk up to guy she didn’t know and just chat him up like that, so I fell over laughing when Hotch was like “Your specialty surveillance???” :-D And then at the end, when her mother was “better” after her father died a few months back- it gave them a point over which they could bond- grief. She helps him with Haley- He helps her with Parents. I KNEW IT!!! I had that thought in my mind for whenever I talk with the writers about what the fans may like to see!!! The fact of him helping her really pulls at his own heart in certain ways, and pulls us further into Hotch in a sense, while his guard is coming down. I thought this is exactly how things should go. Good for that. Bad part- I started to say that I didn’t like she was running for MS, because I felt that was a little too-close-to-real thinking about Mr.Moore’s mother, but I realized that she was running in *support* of the cause. That doesn’t *have to* mean that it’s the condition of one of her parents, which I had associated. Okay, a little less mad. :- ) 2. Where did Garcia even get the notion that Hotch was dating?!? She asked Rossi on the plane, and I guess you can assume that they were talking about it, but she just… pulled THAT out of …”nowhere”! She didn’t have any connections like that to Hotch to know. Maybe it was out there trying to show a “team/family” dynamic, and create a funny moment with her talking all loud, and Hotch was right there, but that didn’t work for me. 3. Jimmy: So a guy who boxes, gets the crap kicked out of him, and is filled with so much rage that he kills the next people that challenge him in the street. WHAT? His sick child is not enough to trigger that much dysfunction. Something was wrong with him from the be- gin- ning! You can’t just jump off crazy like that! 4. Tony: While I don’t think Tony was right to trick Jimmy and bet against him, Tony shouldn’t have died for that. That was the part of the ep that was really sad to me. I realized that when Tony was bound to the post, and Jimmy was punching him, Tony was like “My family. What about my family?!?” That has nothing to do with debt. Tony was begging for his life. So I was really sad later when they said “Tony’s body” was found at the gym. (And Kudos to Mr.Dutton!!!) 5. Back to Jimmy- After getting beat up in the ring, he was pretty lucid while talking to Hotch and his son at the hospital. And how did Hotch know that’s what he was doing? Another “air ball”? Jimmy was too calm and too clear after having his head beat in. I didn’t think that was natural. He should have been further out of it, as a fighter, to have been beaten badly enough to be taken to the hospital, when fighters can usually take more than civilians. I do have to give them credit for what he said to his son about not being a loser, but letting go. That was sweet because the whole ep Jimmy was on the opposite side of that thought- Winning was everything. But after the Hotch-talk, he could tell his son to let go. And the boy dying right then??? Super sad, unexpected. 6. Hotch- Of course when you see a father with his son, you think of Hotch with Jack, but Jack never had a condition like that. It didn’t quite parallel to me, so I didn’t get why Hotch was crying (other than it being a sad situation). I couldn’t see Jack fitting in anywhere. So… the Bittersweet Science. - Was it of Tony thinking he was doing right by betting against Jimmy because he knew he was sick (sweet) and then losing his life over that decision (Bitter)? - Was it of Hotch dealing with losing Haley (bitter), but opening the way for new love (sweet)? - Was it of us fans loving the Sweet part of the show, but hating the Bitter aspect that some things aren’t working??? And is it too soon for Rossi to be talking about what he lost with Caroline? We saw her for 2 split seconds. That was as ‘far removed’ as Emily talking about the grace of second chances. (Siiiiiigh) This ep wasn’t connecting, but it was better than last week I think! Now, I’ll go read back over all the comments! You guys are awesome! Good night!!! XD 3 out of 3 found this valuable.
